Oyster Oreo Cookies

I have just finished up with my daughters school treats for bakerman tomorrow at school. For those who are wondering what I’m talking about, every week in my daughters class, they learns a new theme, then they have one day out of the school week to bring treats for the class based on the theme. This week is my daughters turn and the theme is sea creatures. Based on treats that I have researched I decided on the easiest which would be oysters because there was literally no baking involved! I’ve gone all out on my daughters school treat days and watched other mothers bring in clever and simple ideas and so this time I decided to scale it down – Way down. I had fun making these with my little princess and they tasted good!

Recipe:

Oreo cookies
White mini marshmallows
Chocolate pearls
Ready made vanilla frosting

Directions:

Split an Oreo into two. On the icing side add your vanilla frosting (add as much as you wish). Place a mini marshmallow on top and seal the cookie by place the other half of the Oreo at an angle over the marshmallow. Ensure that you have frosting smeared at the join of the two cookies to keep it standing open. Place a small drop of icing on the Oreo half facing you and proceed by a second. Gently press in the chocolate pearls into the frosting.

Super easy. Kids love a creative looking cookie and perfect for a sea theme for school and birthday parties.

Enjoy!
